| The Poetry Of Violence |
| Kasandra S. Larsen |
Watch the graceful arc of a grey machine gun,
shining in sunlight as it pirouettes
toward dun-colored trails of dust and dirt,
kissing soft bodies of supple young men.
We thrill to this ballet, this magic marriage
of bright belief
and choreographed bullets,
the intricate dance of betrayal of brothers.
Revenge a dark art running in the blood,
our right vocabulary
includes mysterious victory
as dreams at last deliver or die trying.
